I WILL survive!

Apparently, Jason's work thinks they need him MORE than we do right now! He is gone for 3 weeks in California at their facility in Riverside helping do some projects or something...  He told them the only way he would do it is IF he could come back on the weekends! SO looking forward to FRIDAY!  Missing my man :-(  Missing their daddy :(  Jade is devastated.

Sunday night:
terrible- Jade kept waking up ALL night long crying for Daddy to not have to leave. Finally in the middle of the night I could tell she had a fever.  Held her on the couch pretty much all night sleeping in 15 min.  intervals.  Around 6 am she throws up in the toilet (yeah) and within 2 seconds is asleep and so am I from 6-10 a.m  The miracle was that Grace actually slept in until 10 which she NEVER, EVER has done.  So, Heavenly Father was for SURE looking out for me and my sanity.
Monday:
*Jade was feeling sick still with a fever.  But we read plenty of books, played a few games, and entertained ourselves most of the day.  At night I watched the TCU game by myself and at the commercials watched the Bachelor.
Monday night:
Jade still cried for Daddy and kept me awake all night.  But, we are surviving! Played old maid, Go fish, colored, painted, and while the girls slept during their naps... I cleaned out the fridge!!

My goals:
#1 keep myself so busy that the days fly by! I want to paint a room or something! Sew some stuff
#2 Get someone to watch the girls so I can WORKOUT, which is very important to my sanity and mental well-being.
#3 Have some fun with the girls! Not have to cook a big meal every night and just eat toast or some mac n' cheese for dinner... whatever we want! Or better yet, so out and get food so I don't cook at all! :-)

SHHHHHH... Jason's birthday is Jan. 20th and I'm thinking of driving out (just 9 hours) and surprising him and staying there for the week!! Am I crazy??

I'm sorry she was sick...SO not fun...and by yourself is worse. I've had LOTS of those days/nights lately and I 100% agree with you...exercise is the key to sanity...and just throwing something together for dinner gets old after the 3rd night...but I have no motivation if Luke isn't eating...lol! Hang in there...3 weeks will fly by and it sounds like fun to surprise him...SD would be a great break 4 u too! :)

Good luck, I can barely handle it when Brian leaves to go to scout camp for a week. I'm sorry to hear about Jade. That's so sad.

PS. We watched the game and on commercials flipped over to The Bachelor also. That's funny!

Before grad school, Ronell would travel M-F one week roughly every month. It was really hard at first. Then I got my routine down and I enjoyed some me-time in the evenings and was so excited to see him when he got home. The big things that saved me: 1. Having projects to work on in the evening after the kids were in bed. 2. Working out. 3. I got a babysitter and ran my errands one evening without the kids. I liked my kids much better when I didn't have a time crunch and they didn't cooperate. You're on the right track. You WILL survive!

I'm so sorry to hear about Jade. You are one tuff mommy! Miss you, we should get together, Dewayne is gone a lot studying for the GMAT. Between that, his work, my work, and his GMAT class I barley get to see him.I know how hard it is feeling like you have to do everything by yourself.
